About this winery

Castel Frères is the historic wine trading business created by Pierre Castel with his brothers and sisters in 1949. Over time, we have created a comprehensive range including not only brand leaders and successful innovations, but also châteaux wineries and grand cru wines. Third largest in the world market, Castel Frères is today "the most important place for French wine in the world" for professionals and consumers worldwide.

Product notes

Maison Castel's oenologists select exceptional qualities from their long-standing partners. The different terroirs are vinified separately in order to optimize the expression of each one, and the extractions are adapted to the vintage. Next, a long vatting period of 3 to 4 weeks and aging in oak barrels aim to enhance the fruit and bring roundness.

Production notes

The Saint-Emilion AOC is one of France's most famous appellations. Planted exclusively with red grape varieties, its predominantly limestone soils allow its most representative varieties, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, to reach optimal maturity.

Tasting notes

Aromatic expression of finesse, combining complex notes of red berries and spices. Elegant on the palate, with density and volume on the attack, followed by a silky and delicate finish.
