Product notes
Bin 600 is intrinsically linked to Penfolds beginning in California, a narrative that now spans three decades. In 1998, Penfolds imported a heritage selection of vine cuttings from South Australia’s esteemed Kalimna and Magill Estate vineyards and planted them in Californian soil.
Production notes
Characterised by a blend of warm and cool weather, the season facilitated extended grape maturation while preserving acidity and freshness. Despite lower yields, the vintage produced smaller berries with intense flavours and optimal tannin quality. With few days over 100°F, the resulting wines boast precise ripeness, rich fruit character, and a harmonious balance that heralds this year as a landmark for the region.
Tasting notes
On tasting, the palate reveals itself to be both creamy and soft, with bright fruits that promise immediate gratification. This wine exhibits lovely drinkability; it's balanced and fine-tuned. Cherry Ripe unfurls across the tongue, followed by a nod to strawberries and cream sweets.
