The 2015 Bolgheri Rosso Poggio ai Ginepri is a generous, accessible and well-endowed red blend (with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot). The bouquet is thickly layered and rich with black fruit, spice, leather and cured tobacco. You can't go wrong with this Bolgheri base wine, especially if you are contemplating a pairing with grilled meats or roasted lamb. This is a mid-weight effort with moderate length and a point of spicy acidity on the close.
