The 2014 Casòn Hirschprunn Tenutae Lageder is an oak-driven wine with smooth and creamy consistency. It ages on the lees in barrique for 11 months. This is a very interesting wine with a dry, mineral finish and subtle aromatic intensity. The mouthfeel is angular and linear with a long sense of length and importance. This offbeat Italian white should evolve over the next five years, and maybe a bit longer still.
