The village lies at the end of the Laignes valley, on the edge of the Côte des Bar, between Champagne and Burgundy. It's a land of hillsides, emerging from the Jurassic period, that for centuries men have patiently shaped for the vine. Its history and its name are plural, and its reputation singular: Les Riceys. Today, it's the most sought-after cru on the Côte des Bar, with 3 AOCs conferred by the excellence of its Pinots Noirs: Champagne, Coteaux Champenois and Rosé des Riceys. Domaine Alexandre Bonnet has become the symbol and emblem of this unique terroir.
