''From the famed terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, Penfold's Bin 128 is a shining example of both (relatively) cooler climate Shiraz and of the brand's own distinctive style. More broody, complex and dark fruited than many of its regional counterparts, aromas of black cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate, vanilla and mint swirl together. Tight-grained tannins weave through the rich but not overblown flavors of dark fruit and earth. Overall, this feels very approachable now but with the capacity to age for the next seven years or so.''
