7 Deadly Wines are proud to be sourced from the acclaimed Lodi AVA. Located in California’s Central Valley, the mineral-rich, free-draining and sandy clay soil foster the growth and production of award-winning 7 Deadly Wines. Aside from producing high quality Zinfandel grapes, the warm days and cool nights of this Mediterranean-like climate are ideal for also producing a large quantity of Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.

Product notes

Released in 2002, 7 Deadly was born from a Catholic school upbringing and our winemaker’s lust for hedonistically seductive wine. Seven certified sustainable vineyards were chosen for the inaugural vintage in the enviable Lodi appellation, where Zinfandel reigns supreme. The Seven Sins were related to the seven Old Vine Zinfandels blended in the wine to create 7 Deadly Zins, now America’s favorite Zinfandel.

Tasting notes

Sinful indeed, our Old Vine Zinfandel is full-bodied and seductive. Heaps of jammy berry fruit are followed by aromas of leather, oak and spice notes. On the palate the wine is round and layered showing flavors of dark fruits, currants and toffee through a lingering spice-touched finish.
