About this winery

Arboleda, which means a grove of trees, is a tribute to the more than 1,450 hectares (3,583 acres) of native forest that surround its sustainably managed vineyards. Viña Arboleda was founded in 1999 by the Chilean vintner Eduardo Chadwick. The philosophy behind this project is to craft single-vineyard wines that reveal the purest expression of each unique terroir within its vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley.

Tasting notes

This light silvery-yellow Chardonnay stands out for its fine, delicate structure and good balance. The fresh, complex nose offers floral and citrus aromas framed by subtle notes of pastry and nuts. The palate offers impressively vibrant acidity with a chalky texture complemented by its characteristic minerality.

Viticultural notes

Heat summation for the 2016–2017 season was higher than the historical averages, although budbreak occurred on dates similar to the historic record due to water reserves from a particularly slightly rainy winter. Flowering occurred during the second half of October and was one of the earliest record for Chardonnay.

Winemaking notes

The grapes were fermented with native yeasts in French oak barrels and lasted 15–20 days at 16°–22°C. Malolactic fermentation: 33%
