About this winery

Beringer is known for establishing many 'firsts' as leaders in the wine industry. We were one of the first gravity fed facilities and among the first to operate using hand-dug caves and cellars. Production notes

Winemaking begins in the vineyard and culminates with the harvest of grapes that have been carefully tended throughout the season. The grapes were picked at the peak of their maturity to maintain the ripe flavors of the fruit. Winemaking focused on bringing out the varietal's rich, intense dark fruit flavors while layering the sweet oak spices, resulting in a smooth, fruity wine with a pleasant finish.

Tasting notes

Ruby colored wine with good intensity. Exuberant nose from which emanate scents of ripe red fruits, vanilla and dill. This red expresses a low acidity and has fleshy tannins. On the retro-nasal olfaction, it asserts itself with flavors of morello cherry jam and wood. It offers a fat mouth that extends into a fairly persistent finish.
