Over time, we have created a comprehensive range including not only brand leaders and successful innovations, but also châteaux wineries and grand cru wines. CHÂTEAU BEYCHEVELLE is a true Bordeaux legend, known all over the world as the ‘Médoc Versailles’. This 4th Growth Cru Classé is blessed with an exceptional deep gravel terroir, with clay-rich subsoil that provides particularly excellent conditions for Cabernet-Sauvignon, the varietal most readily associated with fine wines from the Bordeaux region. Inaugurated in 2017, the new cellars are perfectly adapted to the vineyard’s plot-selection, allowing each terroir to reveal its depth and complexity to the fullest extent.

Production notes

Faced with a demanding vintage and the vagaries of the weather, our strategy in the vineyard and the responsiveness and commitment of our teams were vitally important! They enabled us to harvest a generous crop of excellent quality. A rigorous selection was made from the 85 batches produced this year resulting in a wine that joins the ranks of Château Beychevelle’s finest vintages.

Tasting notes

Château Beychevelle 2020 has a brilliant purple dress. It is a generous wine, all in harmony, which surprises by its accessible side from its early youth. Its nose seduces with its notes of blackberries, black cherries and dark chocolate. It is both powerful and silky; fresh, fruity and long in the mouth. A fine example of the destiny of the Grands Terroirs.
