Product notes
Diversity of terroirs with early gravels, in particular on Cabernets, and late Merlots on limestone clays. • Double guyot pruning. CELLARING AND SERVING 17°C 5 to 12 years 2 hours TASTING NOTES Château D’Arcins offers a deep, dark crimson colour. The nose develops attractive aromas of black fruit and mocha. • Tillage under vinihabillage and the inter rows except on limestone clay (only under the row) • Green operators: disbudding, de-stemming and leaf stripping by hand to avoid grape injuries and have better precision. • Afew green harvests on the Petit Verdot in order to balance the load on the vines. • The collection schedule is the key point for a successful vintage in Château d’Arcins.
Production notes
2021, a vintage of patience and high standards! • Anearly winter marked by alternating cool and mild spells. • In April, an unprecedented episode of frost reduced the harvest. • Avery rainy spring, followed by a summer that was slow to take hold and cool overall. • The end of September was marked by a rainy spell that led us to pick the Merlot grapes, then the bright sunshine that followed enabled us to reach optimum ripeness for the Cabernet-Sauvignon.
Tasting notes
Château D’Arcins offers a deep, dark crimson colour. The nose develops attractive aromas of black fruit and mocha. The powerful palate is characterised by luxurious tannins softened by notes of eucalyptus which give this wine its freshness and complexity.
