Production notes
The grapes for this distinct Chardonnay were harvested in the cool morning hours to preserve freshness and acidity, then fermented on predominantly French oak with a small portion of American oak. Traditional winemaking techniques lead the way, including aging on the lees to impart a silky, weighty texture, also aided by allowing most of the Chardonnay lots to undergo malolactic fermentation before final blending, showcasing an elegant and bright wine that is a great representation of the personality of our California vineyards.
Tasting notes
Wonderfully expressive and vibrant, this classic Chardonnay opens with aromas and flavors of ripe apple and pear, supported by tropical notes of pineapple topped with citrus zest and finishing with a delicate toast note from the oak influence. Well-balanced with a solid backbone of acidity, there is a round texture that is pleasing and lasting on the palate, making this Chardonnay a perfect accompaniment to many cuisines and dishes
