Production notes

At the start of the year rich rainfalls generated good water reserves in the soil. Vegetation started mid may, just a few days ahead of schedule. A mild spring turned into a warm and dry summer but luckily without heat peaks. Isolated but rich rainfalls kept the dry stress away. Picking began on the 3rd of September. The stable weather system enabled a calm and precise harvest. The grapes tasted just a bit riper as in previous years. The acidity is just a notch lower and the mouthfeel of the wines is grippy and structured. The nose is crystal-clear alluring and shows finesse and a noble understatement.

Tasting notes

Riesling pure and focused, at its best! Typical fruity characteristics and long mineral finish of our “Red Slate” vineyards. This “Estate Riesling” is the “liquid business card” of our winery.
