About this winery
Since 1888 the Fessy family has been based in the heart of the Brouilly appellation. Over the years they have purchased choice parcels of vineyards in most of the 10 Crus and the Beaujolais-Villages appellations to create the enviable domain that we have today of nearly 70 hectares of prime vineyards. The estate of Maison Henry Fessy consists of over 70 hectares (175 acres) of exceptional vineyards in the heart of the region's celebrated Crus. Originally from Burgundy, the Gamay Noir variety is a naturally fruity grape that produces elegant and balanced wines. The reintroduction of the owl to the vineyards was carried out in order to sustainably combat and eliminate rodents and other animals that attack the vine.
Traditional temperature-controlled vinification.
Our Gamay Noir 2017 presents an intense ruby colour. The nose is fresh and fruity with aromas of raspberry and redcurrant. Well-balanced, this wine offers an enjoyable mouth feel with notes of raspberry with subtle hints of peach and apricot. An elegant and fruity wine.
