About this winery

The House of Lanson was founded in 1760 by François Delamotte, an influential character in Reims society. The joint owner, alongside his wife, of a not-insubstantial vineyard in Cumières and Ay, he decided to found his own Champagne house – one of the very first ever to exist. Winemaking notes

Lanson Rose Label is a blend of 53% Pinot Noir, 32% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier, from a number of crus and almost ten different years. Like Black Label, it is enhanced through a long maturation of at least three years in the cellar, including at least 6 months after disgorging.

Tasting notes

Lanson Rose Label is a subtle wine with very fine bubbles. Its aromas of rose and fine fragrances of red fruits echo its pale pink colour. The sensation is tender and long-lasting. It seduces with its unfaltering originality and a harmonious balance alternating between roundness and freshness.

December 2017

''This fine dry style of rosé with its crisp red-currant fruits is typical of the Lanson style. It is tangy, zesty and with a mineral texture from the high percentage (62%) of Chardonnay in the blend. The wine comes only from Grand Cru vineyards. It is stylish and with intense acidity at the end.''

''Sliced strawberries with hints of lemon and orange peel. Some earth. Full-bodied, round and fruity with apples and hints of fruit. Delicious and fruit-forward. Nice creamy texture. Drink now.''
