About this winery
The House of Lanson was founded in 1760 by François Delamotte, an influential character in Reims society. The joint owner, alongside his wife, of a not-insubstantial vineyard in Cumières and Ay, he decided to found his own Champagne house – one of the very first ever to exist. Tasting notes
This Organic Lanson Brut Champagne is the result of a demanding and precise work. Like all our champagnes, this wine is Pinot Noir driven, for a perfect balance between power and freshness, and does not undergo malolactic fermentation in order to preserve the purity of fruit. After three years minimum in our cellars, the wine has developed an elegance with great aromatic and mineral complexity. To the eye unfolds a beautiful amber yellow hue, bubbles are dense, small, and uniform. The nose expresses a deep minerality and freshness of fruit (apricot, grapefruit), with underlying notes of exotic spice. After airing, suaver notes such as cinnamon, peach syrup are noticeable. The palate starts vibrant, dynamic and full of potential. The mid-palate is well rounded, with notes of exotic fruits (pomegranate, papaya), the finish is long and spicy.
