Tormaresca was founded in 1998 with the investment and vision of the Antinori Family in Italy's Puglia region. The family considers Puglia one of the most promising regions in Italy for quality wines with a strong regional identity. The Tormaresca estate is comprised of two properties: Bocca di Lupo, located in the Murge region within the esteemed Castel del Monte DOC. It occupies 250 hilly acres of poor, calcareious soils at 800 foot elevation. The vineyard receives abundant sunshine and heat which, combined with its quick drainage, allow Chardonnay, Aglianico and Cabernet Sauvignon to flourish. Masseria Maime, situated near San Pietor Vernotico in the northern section of the Salento DOC, occupies 600 seaside acres of porous, sandy, red clay over limestone that absorbs heat and drains water quickly. These conditions produce Negroamaro, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Primitivo of exceptional quality.
