Product notes

It's here that the Clos des Orfeuilles tower dominates the 18.5 hectares of an exceptional vineyard, organically farmed since the 2012 vintage. Here, everything is mineral. The terroir of schist, micaschist, Gneiss and Quartz lends Le Clos wines a precision and energy that are quite out of the ordinary. A confidential little gem, revealing a unique terroir and enhancing the Muscadet Sèvre & Maine appellation on lees.

Production notes

An early budding vintage. - A very cold April, with frosts having a severe impact on the Nantes vineyards. - A warm June with good flowering. Heavy phytosanitary pressure from June onwards. - Late harvest under good weather conditions.

Tasting notes

The color is limpid, an unrivaled straw yellow. The nose is intense and complex, with exotic fruit, citrus and aniseed. The palate is rich but retains freshness, with a fullness of minerality. A blend of exoticism and serenity, Clos des Orfeuilles is complex and persistent, with a long finish.
