About this winery

The original distillery dating back to 1810 has finally succumbed to old age. In 1963, we decided to rebuild it and help revive the local community. Since then, we have been using our incredibly high stills to create a unique collection of whiskeys that sets us apart from all other distilleries. Indeed, while some distilleries produce only sweet whiskeys and others only smoked whiskeys, we produce both. It may be against tradition, but we like doing things our way. Production notes

Off the west coast of Scotland, the Isle of Jura is a place famed as much for its folklore as it is for its whisky. A magical haven where a sense of solitude pervades: one road, one pub, one community and one distillery. There is no whisky and no island quite like Jura. It is aged in bourbon casks for 10 years and has the lingering taste of maple syrup with gentle notes of honey, caramel and soft liquorice.
