About this winery

Vivanco Winery is located in Briones, a privileged enclave in La Rioja Alta, on the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria and on the banks of the River Ebro. It is an area with a mild microclimate and extraordinary chalky-clay soils. Around the winery we find the Finca El Cantillo, whose name comes from the large number of boulders found on the ground. Production notes

16 months in French and American oak barrels, with periodic racking and a minimum of 6 months in the bottle. THE BOTTLE Our bottle is inspired by an original from the s. XVIII visitable in the Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture.

Tasting notes

Bright cherry colour. Intense aromas of ripe fresh fruit, with spicy and liquorice notes, accompanied by elegant toasted and smoky aromas. On the palate it is fresh and sweet, with an elegant, persistent and very balanced palate.
